Families attending St Francis Xavier College may be eligible for Travel Conveyance Allowance from the Department of Education. However, strict guidelines and rules must be adhered to.
The home residence must be more than 4.8kms by the most direct and practicable route from the school. (www.whereis.com.au)
All students must submit new forms for 2009
Travel Conveyance Allowance is only credited to family school fees if claimed via Private Car (pink form), Public Transport (cream form), and only two Private School Buses. These school buses are Bus
No. 10 (Berwick Station Bus) and the Shuttle Bus between Campuses. The College will credit a Family school fee account when we receive the Government Allowance. (September and December)
All other Travel Conveyance is kept by the College to help subsidise the cost of providing buses to families. If we were to charge actual costs to families, the fee would be more than $1200 per student.
All Bus travel requires a Green Private Bus Conveyance Form per student.
The final decision is made by the Department of Education if you are eligible to claim Travel Conveyance Allowance.
Attached are Travel Conveyance Allowance forms. Please complete the Private Bus Conveyance Form by December 9th, 2008 and return it with the Bus Application Form.
Private Car and Public Transport Forms to be returned to the College by March 20th 2009.
